Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans that align technology solutions and business outcomes
- Manage scope, timelines, resources, budget and evolving risks throughout the delivery lifecycle, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time
- Identify internal and external project risks, and develop mitigation strategies as well as compensating controls; escalate to key stakeholders when appropriate
- Employ and facilitate creative approaches to problem solving, especially for the most complex projects; collaborates with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems; works with client stakeholders to ensure project initiatives and company objectives are met
- Solve complex technical and business problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions and can take a hands-on approach in the design phase of projects
- Interpret internal or external business imperatives and recommend best practices throughout a program lifecycle
- Report regularly to client management as well as Clear Harbor partner representatives on the status of all assigned projects; report project delays quickly and earnestly
- Communicate good news fast and bad news faster without bias
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of overall project management experience, with hands-on leadership of project teams of at least 8-12 individual contributors
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required, Master’s degree preferred
- Agile Scrum Master experience or PMP experience a plus
- Extensive knowledge of project management processes, project financial management, systems development methods, change management concepts and business process improvement methods
- Management of full stack development teams with demonstrated experience with Python, Java, Snowflake, Hadoop, SQL Server, and other cloud technology projects across GCP, AWS, and/or Azure
- Experience with project management technologies including JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, to name a few
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects with shared resources
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong project management skills with hands-on experience managing and deploying application development projects, portals, and other complex IT systems
- Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to clients and senior management
- Strong meeting facilitation skills
- Strong business judgment
- Ability to hands-on direct the work of systems development staff in a team environment
- A passion for consulting; you are capable of stretching and applying your skills in an open, entrepreneurial environment
- A flexible approach and attitude; you are not afraid to take on a challenge and be as hands-on as you are strategic
