Data Engineering Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust data integration processes (ETL, ELT) using cloud-native technologies inclusive of Snowflake, DataBricks, and other technologies native to AWS, Azure, and GCP for data analysis and visualization
- Optimize performance of both data pipelines and end-user SQL queries; design new approaches that reduce latency and improve response times for end-user results through the utilization of key features such as results caching, in-memory data sets, etc.
- Design and implement data models, preferably within the healthcare industry, that align with business requirements, providing a foundation for accurate and insightful analytics
- Leverage Python programming skills to enhance data analysis, automate data transformation processes, and optimize data pipelines
- Develop and distribute interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools to present data-driven insights to key client stakeholders. Experience with a range of solutions including Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Business Objects, to name a few
- Create data validation and data quality processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data delivered through pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client stakeholders, data scientists, and client stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and deliver timely insights
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4-6 years of business intelligence, data analytics, data engineering or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of cloud-native data platforms including Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, RedShift, BigQuery; proficiency with SQL & Procedural SQL
- Experience with data modeling, ELT/ETL processes, and data warehousing
- Experience with healthcare data structures such as HL7, EDI X12 transactions preferred
- Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and machine-learning capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team in fast-paced environments
